February 1, 2021
As of January 2021, the COVID-19 cases in Malaysia has spiked up to more than 5000 cases daily. At this point in time, the government has made the decision to allow entry of foreign students except students from United Kingdom. Is Malaysia making a bad decision by allowing entry of new foreign students?
It is justifiable for entry of existing foreign students with a tighter SOP. It is only fair that they are given the opportunity to resume their studies for the 2021 Academic Year. Above all, the different time zones makes it harder for these students to participate in the online learning as opposed to the Malaysian students. However, is it a good decision to allow entry for new students? Keep in mind that Malaysia is known for its top-notch education standards. The number of people who would want to pursue their studies in Malaysia will be relatively high.
As the government is preparing to welcome these students, the public is still alarmed of the current predicament. Share your thoughts on this issue.
