INTEC’s students are instilled with special self-help programmes to help them be industry-ready and excel in the marketplace.
INTEC Education College has been producing well-rounded graduates for more than three decades and continues to be committed in serving the nation by producing exemplary and world-class students. This institution reached a milestone recently when they received the ACCA Platinum Approved Learning Partner (ALP) Award through its Professional Accountancy Centre (IPAC Education).
This impressive feat is a cause for celebration as INTEC has stepped up from gold to platinum status in only two years of establishment, the fastest in the world. Only a handful of premier institutions in Malaysia have been awarded this status. INTEC received this award at a special ceremony attended by Chief Executive of ACCA global, Helen Brand.
Deputy Vice Chancellor of Industry, Community & Alumni Network UiTM, Prof. Dr. Zaini Abdullah receiving the award from Chief Executive of ACCA Global, Helen Brand during the INTEC’s ACCA Platinum ALP Awards ceremony on 8th November 2017.
The ceremony also saw students and lecturers being recognised for their achievements. A total of 13 INTEC students are ranked Malaysia’s top scorers in CAT and ACCA with up to a perfect score of 100%, with 12 ranked world’s best.
INTEC, a subsidiary of UiTM Holdings Sdn Bhd., boasts a unique style of teaching, an environment conducive to learning, extracurricular activities and soft skill programmes that have contributed to the growth and success of the institution. Its personal grooming, communication, leadership and resume-building classes inculcate students with industry-level competencies to excel in the marketplace.

In line with the government’s initiative to nurture 60,000 bumiputera Accountants by 2020, INTEC has delivered the cream of the crop. Aminah Muti’ah Mohd Nasir, one of the World Prize Winners, attributed her success to the extra study hours provided by the college, being punctual and the small classroom that gave her just the right amount of attention. The time spent living together at the same hostel, learning in the same environment and attending similar co-curricular activities has fostered strong friendships among the students. Walking through similar challenges everyday resulted in a close-knit community, so much so, they consider each other family rather than classmates.
INTEC lecturer for ICAEW and ACCA, Mohamed Airil Md Razali receiving the Excellent Lecturer award from Chairman of MyPAC Dato' Mohammad Faiz Azmi as executive chairman of PwC Malaysia. Looking on is CEO of MyPAC, Datuk Zaiton Mohd Hassan.
One of the lecturers who received the Excellent Lecturer award and once worked with two of the big four Accountancy firms, mentioned that passing the ACCA papers require lots of hard work and sheer determination but sustaining these students in the industry is a whole different ballgame. Their recipe for success is no secret. The lecturers’ dedication guiding them through their day-to-day progress, overall performance, emphasis on hands-on learning and pressuring them by raising the industry’s expectations have certainly paid off.
INTEC has a staggering 90% passing rate for one of the toughest papers while the global passing rate is only 50%. Present on the event is Malaysian Professional Accountancy Centre (MyPAC)’s chairman Dato’ Mohammad Faiz Azmi, with proud recognition about IPAC Education; “We are very proud to be associated with IPAC, and it has been a long journey but we are very pleased with the result. I am particularly happy to see that you are also been able to find people which I thought are quite rare, what I called M3s, “Motivated Malay Male”, but really overall we are very pleased with the result. We feel that IPAC has worked hard to get the platinum status and I like to wish them congratulations on that as well as the BPP three start award.”
INTEC being the only institute outside of Europe that has received 3 stars by BPP Professional Education, stems from their passion to educate young minds, not just to pass their examinations but most importantly, their application of knowledge. The results achieved by students is proof of the quality education you will receive when enrolling in any of their courses. It is no wonder that the students themselves are perfect advocates for INTEC.
Besides Professional Accountancy programmes, INTEC Education College also runs Diploma and Pre-university programmes, such as A-Level, American Degree Transfer Programmes, A-Level German, Korean and Japanese Preparatory Programmes and SACE International. INTEC does not only excel in professional programmes but has also produced 3A* achievers in A-Level programmes recently. INTEC is also currently working with universities around the world for credit transfers using American Degree Transfer Programme.
INTEC Open Day will be held on December 9, 2017 from 9am to 5pm. Mark your calendars to explore more study opportunities.
