Both Maktab Rendah Sains Mara (MRSM) and Sekolah Berasrama Penuh (SBP) are opening their doors for new 2016 intakes.

Both will be available online.

MRSM

Will be open for Form 1 2016 intake.

Eligibility

  • Students and parents must be Malaysians
  • Application is open to students who attend school in Malaysia:i. Bumiputera students in primary year sixii. Non-Bumiputera students in primary year six studying at a National School (Sekolah Kebangsaan/SK) or National Primary School (Sekolah Rendah Kebangsaan/SRK)

Peninsular students

  • Applicants must obtain 5A in the Primary School Achievement Test (UPSR) 2015
  • Applicants are required to attend the college's Form 1 Inclination Entrance Test (Ujian Kecenderungan Kemasukan ke MRSM/UKKM) and an interview on a date to be notified later

Sabah and Sarawak students

  • Applicants must obtain a minimum result of 3A 2B (A in math and science) in the Primary School Achievement Test (UPSR) 2015
  • A 5A* score is highly preferable

How to register

  1. Applicants need to get the password for free at any MARA State Office, MARA District Office or the nearest MRSM college during office hours starting on the date when 2015 UPSR results will be officially announced.
  2. Do not forget to bring a copy of Mykid and a copy of a validated 2015 UPSR results transcript hupon retrieving your password.
  3. Register onlineNote: To be accesible only on the date of UPSR result announcement

SBP

Will be open for Form 1 and Form 4 2016 intake.

Eligibility

  • Students must be Malaysian citizens
  • Active in co-curricular activities

Form 1

  • Students in primary year six National School (Sekolah Kebangsaan/SK) or National Primary School (Sekolah Rendah Kebangsaan/SRK)
  • Obtain 5A in the Primary School Achievement Test (UPSR)

Criterias that might be considered for enrollment

  • Students achieve at least 4A 1B and active in sports or games; at least represent the state at national level
  • Students from poor families with income below poverty line (extremely poor group) with at least 3A 2B in UPSR and active extra-curricular activities

Form 4

  • Student in National School or government-aided schools
  • Obtain excellent academic results in PBS (PT3) or a minimum of 6A (including in Science and Math)
