Embrace this future with AIMST’S BEng (Hons) and Diploma programmes in Electrical and Electronic Engineering offered under its Faculty of Engineering and Computer Technology (FECT). The programmes cover fields like Medical Instrumentation, Biomedical Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, Optoelectronics, Computer Sciences plus Embedded and advanced Microprocessors. A five-month training stint with firms such as INTEL, Motorola, Sony , Robert Bosh, Osram, Jabil Circuit ,Flextronics , S&O Electronics , Plexus , Kontron and Smart Modular Technologies is offered to provide industrial exposure.
Exciting opportunities are available in both government and private sectors in areas such as research, technical services, project management and consultancies. At AIMST University, students enjoy financial aid and counselling along with good accommodation, transport and healthcare. The Degree programme is a minimum of four years while the Diploma courses takes 2 ½ years.
Entry for the Degree is via a minimum of two Cs in Mathematics and Physics in A-Levels/STPM or Diploma in related field .Other qualifications will be assessed on case-by-case basis. For Diploma, entry is via SPM or equivalent with a minimum of three credits including in Mathematics and Science/Physics, as well as a pass in English.
