Higher Education Minister Datuk Seri Idris however said the programmes to be based on a modular system and resulting in certification is still currently in the planning stages.
"We suggest that every student who successfully completed at least four modules will be eligible for a certificate of proficiency while finishing six modules will result in a diploma, even if not studying full-time.
"After diploma, they may continue their studies at a Polytechnic for example, to obtain a degree," he said.
There are currently more than 40,000 students from religious schools and religious officers from various agencies are involved in 64 vocational programmes, including entrepreneurship in 91 Community Colleges every weekend.
