So far, there has been no reports received about the involvement of Malaysian students in the activities of militant groups such as Daesh.
Deputy Vice-Chancellor of Universiti Malaya (UM), Prof Datuk Dr Amin Jalaluddin said the police are constantly monitoring all students for suspicious activities.
"We have procedures and have established cooperation with the Ministry of Home Affairs (KDN).
He was commenting on a statement made by Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi earlier that institutions of higher learning (IPT) has been identified as being the most powerful group to be influenced by militants not only in Malaysia, but also in other countries.
