Coming soon: Announcement on JPA bursary structure change

As reported by The Star today, the government will make a 'huge' announcement on the structural changes of the JPA bursary which now has become a loan.

According to the Minister in the Prime Minister's Department Datuk Seri Dr Wee Ka Siong, it depends on Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak to decide and announce the details.

The structural changes of the JPA bursary will be announced before the end of March.

"A study is being conducted to see how much is the cost (to sponsor these scholars), what is the Government's capability, and how the scholars will be selected," said Dr Wee.

He urged those who wished to apply to be patient as the announcement would address three scholarship categories.
