As reported by Utusan, fresh graduates who have completed their studies may now straight away buy a house upon graduation.
Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak stated that 2,114 applications for Skim Rumah Pertamaku with RM431 million total loan have been approved since 2013 to January 2016.
Based on the information received from the National Bank, Najib declared that 876 applications for Skim Perumahan Belia with RM215.5 million total loan have been approved by Bank Simpanan Nasional (BSN) from 2013 to last February.
The Prime Minister stressed that the government will continue to build affordable houses especially for the young generation despite the economic downturn.
"It is the government's responsibility to provide housing to every household in the country, especially for low and medium income earners. This is in line with the goal of improving the quality and welfare of the people."
"Despite the uncertain global economic situation following the fall in global crude oil prices and the depreciation of the ringgit, the government will continue to build affordable housing for the people, especially the youth," said Najib.
