A helicopter belonging to the Royal Malaysian Armed Forces fell on a school in Tawau, Sabah, yesterday.
According to an Associated Press report, the military explained that the accident occurred after the helicopter flew for two hours in an exercise routine.
The passengers of the helicopter are 14 members of the military who reportedly survived and were in hospital nearby, while the pilot is in critical condition.
At least 23 people including school children become victims and sustained injuries.
Tawau district police chief, Marcus Fadil said that the helicopter hit on the roof of the school before it fell into the cafeteria area.
Eight students and school employees suffered minor injuries and was treated by medics.
The SPM candidates will be transferred to another examination center if the school structure is deemed unstable, said Deputy Education Minister Datuk P.Kamalanathan.
