The moment all you potential teachers have been waiting for is finally here! Well, almost! This is because the Ministry of Education (MOE) will open the online portal for Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) leavers who want to to pursue teaching via the Program Ijazah Sarjana Muda Perguruan (PISMP) for 2017, on March 20.
The duration of study for those who are selected to the attend Program Persediaan Ijazah Sarjana Muda (PPISMP) is 12 months or two semesters at the Institut Pendidkan Guru (IPG) and the mode of study is full-time. Only after passing the PPISMP, will they then be allowed to pursue the PISMP for 4 years or 8 semesters at a selected IPG to qualify for a Bachelor's degree and teach in primary schools throughout the country.
Well this is what EVERYONE wants to now isn't it? The minimum requirements are as follows:
Age not exceeding 20 years
Active in extra-curricular activities
Excellent grades in SPM(Grades A +, A and A-) in any five subjects (the minimum requirement)
Obtained at least Credits in the following subjects:

Applications can be made online via the application program Bachelor of Teaching (PISMP) on www.moe.gov.my . However for now, the application is still not open until 20 March. To enable you to access the portal, no pin numbers are required. You only need to register for the first time only and can continue to apply.
