Application for Admission National Youth Skills Institute commences

The National Youth Skills Institute under the Ministry of Youth and Sports is inviting applicants for its January 2013 session. This upcoming session is managed by the Ministry of Skills Development, Youth and Sports. The training programme will cover the airfare for students from Sabah and Sarawak, monthly allowances worth RM100-RM300 during the learning period and accomodation, food and clothing allowance will also be provided.

Closing date is:  7 November 2012

Eligibility:

  • Malaysian citizen
  • 18 to 30 years old (for skills training certificates SKM/DKM/DLKM)
  • At least completed Form 5
  • Physically and mentally fit
  • Has not be convicted of any crime/ drug abuse
  • Have yet to undergo skills training in any of the training institutes (public/private)
  • Those currently training in any of the skills training institute are not allowed to apply
  • Those who have not completed training or removed from training are not allowed to apply

Application process:

Applications should be done online HEREApplications that have not received response after 2 months from the date of review are considered unsuccesful.

Training concept:

The training programme integrates various training approaches that include skills training both theoretical and practical, entrepreneurship, civics, leadership, religious/moral, sports/ recreation and community service.
