With a shortage of accountants in Malaysia predicted by 2020, we look at some of the ways students can get qualified and start their career in accountancy.

Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA)

ACCA

The ACCA is one of the largest and most respected global accountancy bodies. The qualification gives a broad overview of accountancy with the option to specialise in auditing, tax or finance. Members can expect to work in one of the big global accountancy firms, in a small private practice or even set up their own firm.

Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA)

CIMA

CIMA, the leading professional body of Management Accountants is regarded highly around the world with over 227,000 members in 179 countries. Upon qualifying, many accountants go to work for large corporations in their accounts departments or branch out into project management.
