Nurse

Ministry of Health (MOH) has proposed to place one nurse in every school to raise awareness on healthcare among students. The plan is to start with primary schools first. There are 10,083 schools in the country with 7,743 primary and 2,340 secondary schools. If this plan materializes, our 8,000 unemployed nurses can look forward to be employed with the government.

Nursing was very popular a few years ago and nursing colleges started to mushroom with 106 institutions offering this program. In 2010, Ministry of Higher Education stopped issuing licenses to new colleges planning to offer nursing.
