7 Malaysian polytechnic programmes receive accreditation from Canadian Technology Accreditation Board

Several programmes offered by Malaysian polytechnics received international accreditation, recently. The Canadian Technology Accreditation Board (CTAB) has recognised 7 programmes offered by Malaysian polytechnics and among them are diploma programmes:

• Diploma in civil engineering
• Diploma in mechanical engineering
• Diploma in electrical engineering
• Diploma in mechatronic engineering

These programmes were measured against a set of outcome requirements. A CTAB- accredited programme means that it has kept pace with change and remain relevant to industry.

CTAB is a committee of the Canadian Council of Technicians and Technologists. It develops, coordinates and manages the national accreditation programme for applied sciences and engineering technology programmes.
