60% Accountants in Malaysia from KTAR, says Chua
- Kolej Tunku Abdul Rahman (KTAR) has produced 60% of accountants from Malaysia, said MCA President Datuk Seri Dr Chua Soi Lek
- Chua explained that most of KTAR’s students achieved exceptional pass rates in the examination, earning them a Platinum Status Award by the ACCA (Association of Chartered Certified Accountants).
- Next year, KTAR will be elevated to a university college. Its 130 programmes will be consolidated, continuing only selected diploma programmes and introducing university programmes. Next year's development budget is projected to be worth RM56 million.
- The changes will ensure that KTAR and Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman (UTAR) would complement each other instead of competing against each other.
- The expansion project includes a new faculty building, students’ centre and hall and vocational training building.
