For the first time, 453,413 candidates sat for the Form 3 Assessment (PT3) written test today. Held simultaneously at 2,608 examinations across Malaysia, the examination will last until Thursday, 16 October.
The written test replaces the lower secondary assessment (PMR) and covers 12 subjects including Bahasa Melayu, English language, Mathematics, Science, and Islamic Education. The remaining subjects were Integrated Living Skills, Arabic, Chinese, Tamil, Kadazandusan, Iban, and Punjabi languages.
The written exam is being managed by the school principal with the State Education Department acting as moderator to ensure that candidates' scores are valid and reliable. The exams will be graded in the form of A, B, C, D, E, and F.
