150,000 UA applications received since January

A total of 150,000 students have applied for admission in public universities (UA) through UPUever since the application was opened in January.

Although the amount has exceeded the initial target, Director of Student Intake Management Division, Department of Higher Education, Mazula Sabudin hoped more SPM and STPM leavers/equivalent will apply for the listed institutions in the online UPU portal.

According to Mazula, there are 20 public universities, 34 polytechnics, 93 community colleges and Vocational Training Institutes listed for students to choose from.

UPU applications will be closed on 4 April 2016, 4.00 pm.
