Of the 6,000 students who applied for matriculation, 1,500 Indian students will be taking matriculation this session. This was confirmed by MIC deputy president Datuk Seri Dr S. Subramaniam to dispel newspaper allegations that only 500 places for Indians were given.
He added that all deserving cases would be offered a place and that the 1,500 places for Indian students would be filled by end of this month.
