10 government schools prepped up for IB programme

  • Educational reform through the introduction of IB programme in government schools

Agensi Inovasi Malaysia (AIM) and International Baccalaureate (IB) have embarked on a project to implement professional development programme in 10 selected secondary schools across Malaysia.

The project will help selected schools to prepare, apply and eventually achieve IB World School Status so that they may offer IB Middle Years programme. IB, meanwhile will provide professional development and consultation to support the selected schools.

IB Middle Years programme which is aimed at 11 to 16 years old studentsis divided into eight groups, where students are required to study at least two languages, humanities, sciences, mathematics, arts, physical education and technology.
