The MICPA qualification has been highly-sought after in industry as its members carry the reputation of being technically strong.
The joint Programme provides for memberships with both MICPA and CAANZ.
Members are entitled to use the GAA Passport which provides for mutual membership support from 10 premier accounting bodies across 11 countries around the world.
Candidates need to undergo 3 years of practical, relevant experience whilst pursuing the Programme. This helps you gain deeper insights into how theory comes alive in practice.
The Programme is designed to develop professionals who are effective problem-solvers and trustworthy advisors, those who can think analytically and apply theoretical knowledge to real life business scenarios. The exams are open book, meaning you don’t need to be experts at memorizing! It’s really about how you think.
There are over 400 employers in Malaysia who are Approved Training Employers, most will subsidise the fees required for the MICPA-CAANZ Programme.
Candidates are assigned a mentor whose role is to oversee your training and to make sure you are getting the support you need from your employer.
For degree holders, there are just 5 modules to complete, and it’s possible to complete it within 2 years. Just work for one more year after completing the exams to fulfill your 3-year work experience requirement!
