COURSE OVERVIEW

The Diploma in Nursing Programme was first offered in 2007/2008 in response to the rapid development in medical technology, the increase in the number of government and private hospitals where there demand for nurses had become critical. This shortage of nurses, no doubt, could affect the quality of health services.

The duration of study is six semesters (3 years). The conceptual framework of this programme should follow the needs of Nursing Board Malaysia and Malaysian Qualification Agency (MQA).

SPM

Passed SPM/SPMV with 5 credits inclusive of:
Bahasa Melayu,
Mathematics/Additional Mathematics,
Physics/Chemistry/Biology/Science,
and any other 2 subjects.

Obtained a pass in English and History.

Pass an interview session conducted by the Faculty of Nursing.
