The BSc Finance and Business Management programme at the University of Reading Malaysia’s world-renowned Henley Business School is an innovative undergraduate degree course that provides an academic grounding in these two key areas.
Modules cover finance specialisms such as International Financial Accounting, Corporate Finance, Portfolio Management, Derivatives and Securities. Students are able to develop skills in Financial Trading, using trading simulation software, in our state-of-the-art Dealing Room. Other core subjects of business management such as Marketing, International Business and Organisational Behaviour are also studied.
The study of finance and business management progresses through the programme so that students obtain a critical grasp of core theory along with thorough knowledge, skills of application and analysis. The programme also aims to prepare students for responsible professional leadership and managerial roles after graduation. It is distinctive in placing a strong emphasis on an international business perspective relevant for the emerging challenges facing business in a global context.
This programme requires a strong level of numeracy and focuses on quantitative techniques and financial analysis.
Entry Requirements
A-Levels: AAB+ - BBB STPM: AAB+ - BBB UEC:14 points from 5 subjects excluding Bahasa Malaysia, Chinese Language and Bookkeeping & Accounts International Baccalaureate: 30 points overall including 5 in Standard Level (SL) Mathematics OR an equivalent international qualification Grade B A or higher in Maths at IGCSE; SPM Mathematics Grade B A or higher Grade B or higher in English at IGCSE; SPM English 1119 Grade B or higher IELTS Band 6.5 (or equivalent) is required for those whose education has not been undertaken in English
