Detailed entry requirements

Science Stream

REQUIREMENT 1

Passed the GCE A-Level with at least grade A in Mathematics;

and

Obtained at least Grade B in one (1) of the following subjects:

1. Computing
2. Physics;
3. Further Mathematics;
4. Chemistry;
5. Biology;

and

Obtained at least Band 2 in MUET

or

Obtained at least Band 4 in IELTS (Academic)

or

Obtained score of at least 437 - 473 (PBT) / 123 - 150 (CBT) / 41 - 52 (IBT) in TOEFL.

NOTE: Candidates may apply using Advanced Subsidiary (AS) examination results. A-Level examination results should be submitted later once it has been obtained.

OR

REQUIREMENT 2

Possess International Baccalaureate Diploma (IB)with at least 30 point score and obtained grade 5 (Higher Level) in  Mathematics;

And

any one (1) of the following subjects:

1. Chemistry;
2. Physics;
3. Computer Science;
4. Biology;

and

Obtained at least Band 2 in MUET

or

Obtained at least Band 4 in IELTS (Academic)

or

Obtained score of at least 437 - 473 (PBT) / 123 - 150 (CBT) / 41 - 52 (IBT) in TOEFL.

Science Stream

REQUIREMENT 1

Possess a Diploma in Computer Science or Diploma in Information Technology from Public University / other institutions in related fields recognized by the Government of Malaysia and approved by the University’s Senate with at least CGPA 3.00;

and

Obtained at least Grade B at the Diploma level in Mathematics;

and

Obtained at least Band 2 in MUET

OR

REQUIREMENT 2

Passed STPM not in current year with at least CGPA 3.00 and obtained at least grade B in  two (2) of the following subjects:

• Mathematics T / Physics; dan
• Mathematics T/ Physics / Chemistry/ Biology/ Information and CommunicationsTechnology (ICT)

and

Obtained at least Band 2 in MUET

OR

REQUIREMENT 3

Passed the Matriculation / Foundation not in current year with at least CGPA 3.00;

Obtained at least Grade B at the Matriculation/Foundation level in two (2) of the following subjects:

• Mathematics/Physics/Engineering Physics;

and

• Mathematics /  Physics  /Engineering Physics/ Chemistry/ Engineering

      Chemistry /  Biology / Computer Science / Computing

and

Obtained at least Band 2 in MUET

Science Stream

Passed the Matriculation / Foundation with at least CGPA 3.00;

Obtained at least Grade B at the Matriculation/Foundation level in two (2) of the following subjects:

• Mathematics/Physics/Engineering Physics;

and

• Mathematics /  Physics  /Engineering Physics/ Chemistry/ Engineering

      Chemistry /  Biology / Computer Science / Computing

and

Obtained at least Band 2 in MUET
