COURSE OVERVIEW

The aim of this course is to produce graduates who possess in depth knowledge and skills for scientific decision making; possess sufficient knowledge in integrating other field areas such as economy, management, education and others, as well as having in-depth knowledge in Mathematics, Statistics, Decision Science/ Operational Research, and Information and Communication Technology (ICT); and are able to construct models and analyse them accordingly.

Graduates from Decision Science programme will be able to go on to work in the areas of banking, finance, data analytics, insurance, business consultancy, manufacturing, government service, and graduate studies.

STPM

Pass in Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) / equivalent with credit (GRADE C) in Bahasa Melayu / Bahasa Malaysia OR credit (GRADE C) in Bahasa Melayu / Bahasa Malaysia July Paper
and pass in History (SPM 2013 and above) in SPM
and pass in Sijil Tinggi Pelajaran Malaysia (STPM) with a minimum PNGK of 2.00 and at least obtain: Grade C (NGMP 2.00) for General Studies AND Grade C (NGMP 2.00) in 2 (two) other subjects
and obtain at least Level 1 (Band 1) in the Malaysian University English Test (MUET)
and meet the specific requirements of the programme

Matriculation

Pass in Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) / equivalent with credit (GRADE C) in Bahasa Melayu / Bahasa Malaysia OR credit (GRADE C) in Bahasa Melayu / Bahasa Malaysia July Paper
and pass in History (SPM 2013 and above) in SPM
and pass in KPM Matriculation / UM Asasi Sains / UiTM Asasi with a minimum PNGK of 2.00
and obtain at least Level 1 (Band 1) in the Malaysian University English Test (MUET)
and meet the specific requirements of the programme

Diploma

Pass in Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) / equivalent with credit in Bahasa Melayu / Bahasa Malaysia OR Bahasa Melayu / Bahasa Malaysia July Paper
and pass in History (SPM 2013 and above) in SPM
and possess a diploma or other qualifications recoqnised by:

the Malaysian Government and approved by the university Senate;
MQA and recorded in MQR

and obtain at least Level 1 (Band 1) in the Malaysian University English Test (MUET)
and meet the specific requirements of the programme
