The UTAR Bachelor of Nursing (Hons) degree provides a balanced approach to nursing education with a combination of 55% theoretical and 45% clinical practice components. The programme aims to equip students with a strong foundation in the principles, theories and practices of modern nursing. Our training incorporates wide scope of knowledge, research and integrated technology in health sciences.
STPM with minimum CGPA 2.50 Or A-level with minimum Grade C in 3 subjects Or Science matriculation, Ministry of Education with minimum CGPA 2.50 or South Australian matriculation (SAM) with an Australian Tertiary Admission Rank (ATAR) 70 and grade B in 2 relevant subjects Or Unified examination certificate (UEC) with Grade B in 5 subjects including Science and Mathematics
Or Other equivalent qualifications recognised by the Malaysian government AND -a pass in SPM/equivalent with 5 credits -Mandatory credits in Bahasa Melayu* and Mathematics (Elementary/Additional/Modern) -Either one (1) of the credits in General science/Biology/Chemistry and pass in Biology/Physics and pass in Biology -credits in two (2) other subjects -pass in English language
or Foundation in Science from Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman (UTAR) with minimum CGPA 2.50 AND Passed English language in one of the following examinations: MUET- Band 3 IELTS- Band 5.5 TOEFL(paper based)-score of 515 TOEFL(computer based)-score of 215 TOEFL(internet based)- score of 80
AND Passed medical examination and certified as healthy and medically fit, Free from contagious diseases such as HIV / AIDS and hepatitis B&C, without epilepsy and mentally sound, colour blindness and not physically handicapped. Pregnancy is NOT allowed throughout the programme. *applicable to Malaysian applicants ONLY
