Chemical engineering is the application of science, in particular chemistry, physics and mathematics, to the process of converting raw materials or chemicals into more useful or valuable products. They are engaged in the development and production of a diverse range of products, commodities and specialty chemicals. These products include high performance materials needed for aerospace, automotive, biomedical, electronic, military, and environmental and health applications, which lead to a sustainable and improved quality of life.This programme covers the engineering principles required to develop, design, operate and control the processes and plants that involve molecular changes. It aims to produce graduates with the ability to apply the knowledge of science and engineering fundamentals in chemical engineering.
Entry Requirements
STPM with principal passes in Chemistry, Physics and Mathematics Or A-level with 3 passes in Chemistry, Physics and Mathematics Or South Australian matriculation (SAM) with an Australian Tertiary Admission Rank (ATAR) 70 and grade B in Chemistry, Physics and Mathematics Or Canadian Pre-University with an average of 70% in 6 relevant subjects including 2 Mathematics subjects and Physics Or Unified examination certificate (UEC) with Grade B in 5 subjects including Chemistry, Physics and Mathematics with a pass in English Language
Foundation in Science, Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman (UTAR) Or Matriculation certificate, Ministry of Education Or Diploma in Vocational and Technical in the relevant field Or Diploma in Engineering and Technological engineering in the relevant field Or Foundation from other Institutions Of Higher Learning Or Other equivalent qualifications recognised by the Malaysian government
