The Students will be exposed to a wide range of theoretical and technical subjects. Primarily the programme will ensure the students develop creative thinking abilities so that they are able to create powerful and engaging stories that are animated using various technologies so that every single movement, sound, music and effects are extremely realistic and pleasing to the viewers. They will be also exposed to several animation projects which will train them to work in team and solve problems in a professional manner. Students will be trained to add-value to the animation industry by applying innovative ideas which incorporate local content (culture, folklore etc) to produce a unique and memorable movie, and by doing so, achieve excellence in the promotion of local cultures, social norms and lifestyle. The animation industry is involved in intellectual property development and safeguarding this is vital for the growth of the industry. In this context, students of this programme will be made aware of the laws pertaining to content development, copyright and intellectual property rights. This will ensure the graduates are aware of their moral obligation to be honest, abide by the professional code of ethics and laws which is an important vision and mission of the university
Entry Requirements
STPM with 2 principal passes Or A-level with 2 passes in the relevant subjects Or South Australian matriculation (SAM) with an Australian Tertiary Admission Rank (ATAR) 70 and grade B in 2 relevant subjects Or Canadian Pre-University with an average of 70% in 6 relevant subjects or Unified examination certificate (UEC) with Grade B in 5 subjects
Matriculation certificate, Ministry of Education or Diploma in Creative Multimedia with CGPA 2.50( those below CGPA 2.50 subject to interview) or Foundation in Science and Foundation in Arts, Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman (UTAR) or Foundation from other Institutions Of Higher Learning
Other equivalent qualifications recognised by the Malaysian government AND -a pass in 1 SPM Mathematics subject/equivalent or -applicants may be required to submit a portfolio for review
