The Master of Public Policy is a holistic and integrated programme designed to achieve the following objectives :The programme is designed with the aim to prepare students to develop competencies that will allow them to effectively serve the public interest. It also aimed to prepare students to gain expertise in managing, leading and bring about transformation in the public and not-for-profit sector. The program also aimed to develop students’ analytical and critical skills as well as ethical principles to respond to public policy issues; to appreciate and engage in ethical decision-making and to think critically about issues facing the public and not-for-profit organisations.
A bachelor's degree with minimum CGPA of 2.50 or an equivalent degree subject to approval of senate ; or An applicant who does not meet the minimum requirement of CGPA but with a minimum of 5 years of relevant working experience in respective fields can be considered for admission into the programme. All applicants are required to attain any of the followings before they are accepted for admission into the programme: TA minimum score of 575 for a paper-based total or 232 for a computer-based total or 90 for an Internet based total for the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL)*; or (Students without TOEFL and IELTS are required to complete and pass an Intensive English Programme offered by the University) A minimum score of Band 6.5 in the International English Language Testing System (IELTS)*; or A minimum required proficiency on UniRazak Postgraduate English Proficiency Test; or A recognised first degree undertaken in English medium; or Successful completion of Intensive English Programme (IEP) at the Advanced level conducted by the Centre for English Language (CEL) Note: The validity period for IELTS and TOEFL is two years from the date awarded.
