Intensive English Programme (IEP) prepares students for academic success, both in English-language proficiency and socio-cultural awareness. The programme focuses on improving students' listening, speaking, reading and writing skills through an integrated approach that develops students' fluency in English. The programme immerses students in an environment in which they are given optimal opportunity to use the language in lessons that are both integrated and communicative. The programme brings the learner progressively through six levels of proficiency.
It is advisable for potential students to be of age 16 and above. Prior to entry into the IEP students are required to sit for an English Placement Test. Based on the results of the English Placement Test, students are then placed in one of the six proficiency levels.
