The Foundation for Humanities and Social Sciences is a holistic and integrated programme designed to achieve the following objectives :
To provide students with adequate foundation work in subject areas that are fundamental to progress into the degree programmes offered by Tun Abdul Razak School of Government (TARSOG).
To enhance students' understanding of social sciences and how individual behavior are formed and later affects society and organizations which will assist them in pursuing their degree programmes in leadership, economics and public administration and policy.
To provide students who are new in the university life with the necessary skills and knowledge to enable them to manage their time and their academic activities in an effective manner.
To enhance students' interpersonal and communication skills to enable them to function effectively and efficiently.
To provide students with basic analytical and quantitative abilities and skills to prepare for more rigorous research in the degree programmes.
To enable students to work effectively in a team to assist them in group projects and study groups.
