This is a 3-year programme that focuses on the study of biomolecules and their applications; an area of science which forms the basis of modern biotechnology. The programme combines fundamental knowledge in cellular biology, biochemistry and genetics and laboratory skills in molecular biology to provide students with a strong foundation to participate in biotechnology R & D. A number of elective subjects in business management, marketing and IT are also made available to broaden the students’ scope and prepare them as technopreneurs. Students will also be introduced to new, emerging subject areas such as genomics and proteomics.
