UTM - Universiti Teknologi Malaysia

The field of Marine Technology is a field which combines two main areas relating to the sea namely Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering. The course retains the field of Mechanical Engineering as the core with subjects such as Statics, Dynamics, Thermodynamics, Fluid Mechanics, Mechanics of Materials.

 

ENTRY REQUIREMENT

For STPM Holders

i) University General Requirements

• Passed Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) with good results.



• Passed with a credit in Bahasa Melayu / Bahasa Malaysia at SPM level or equivalent.



• Has obtained at least band 1 in Malaysian University English Test (MUET).



• Passed in a single sitting, Sijil Tinggi Persekolahan Malaysia (STPM) or equivalent with at least:-
  
  
  
  
  
  • i) Grade C in General Studies / General Paper, and
  
  
  
  • ii) Grade C in TWO (2) other subjects.
  
  
  
  
  
  

• Passed STPM with at least 2.75 CGPA



• Passed with at least Grade B-(2.67) at STPM level in Additional Mathematics, Physics and Chemistery.



• Passed with a credit in Mathematics at SPM level or equivalent.



• Do not have health problems that may affect the studies.

• Passed SPM / equivalent with a credit in Bahasa Melayu.



• Passed Ministry of Education Marticulation (MEM) with at least 2.00 CGPA and passed all specialisation subjects.



• Has obtained at least band 1 in Malaysian University English Test (MUET).

• Passed with a credit in Mathematics at SPM level / equivalent.



• Passed with at least Grade B-(2.67) in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry and obtained at least 2.75 CGPA and passed all specialisation subjects.



• Do not have health problems that may affect the studies.

• Passed SPM / equivalent with credits in

• Obtained a certificate from a Polytechnic / equivalent in Malaysia in a field relevant to the course applied with a minimum of
  
  
  
  
  
  • i) CGPA 2.00, and
  
  
  
  • ii) Passed all subjects of specialisation.
  
  
  
  
  
  



• Candidates are required to submit a detailed transcript of results of their Certificate (from the first semester to the final semester).

• Passed SPM or equivalent with credits in Bahasa Melayu/Bahasa Malaysia and Mathematics



• Has obtained at least band 1 in Malaysian University English Test (MUET).



• Holds other qualifications deemed equivalent by the Government of Malaysia and approved by the Senate.

• Passed with a credit in Mathematics at SPM level / equivalent.



• Obtained a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering from UTM / equivalent with CGPA of at least 2.50

• Do not have health problems that may affect the studies.



• Candidates are required to submit a detailed transcript of results of their Diploma (from the first semester to the final semester).
