Telecommunication has now expanded at such a tremendous pace and covers over a very wide spectrum of topics such as analogue signal communication, data communication, transmitter and receiver systems. Others on the list include digital signal processing, microwave and radio frequency signal, telecommunication switching systems, mobile phone systems, broadcasting systems, satellite equipment and radar.The Telecommunication Department of the Electronic and Computer Engineering Faculty has taken the initiatives to offer a degree programme by the name of Bachelor of Electronic Engineering (Wireless Communication) with Honours. This area has been identified to be of great potential for future industrial development. Knowledge in this area is needed for the communication, broadcasting and global security monitoring. Wireless Communication covers areas like mobile system, broadcasting equipment and receivers, radio communication equipment, satellite and radar.
