Compatible with the hope that reading materials in Bahasa Malaysia can be removed quickly through the translation, the School of Humanities offers Bachelor of Arts (Translation and Interpretation) started in academic year 1992/93 at the Center for Language and Translation. The program is now offered in the School of Humanities under Section English, Translation and Interpretation. This porgram degree called a Bachelor of Arts with Honours (Translation with Interpretation). Abbreviations are BATI the Bachelor of Arts (Hons.) Translation with Interpretation.
Courses in translation and interpretation of information about the theories and practice of translation and interpretation. Students are exposed to several methods of translation / interpretation, the process of translation and interpretation such as editing, computer aided translation, writing notes, etc., elements of culture in language, and professional ethics in the field.
