Universiti Sains Islam Malaysia (USIM)’s main campus is located at Nilai, Negeri Sembilan. Formerly known as Kolej Universiti Islam Malaysia (KUIM), the university started its operations in the Faculty of Islamic Studies Building of Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia. USIM presently has 8 faculties with 18 academic programmes that encompass all branches of knowledge such as economy, law, syariah, language, da’wah, management, Quran and Sunnah, Fiqh, counselling, communication, medicine, science and information technology, dentistry and accounting.
Programmes
USIM aims to uphold and enhance Islamic studies and bring it into the national main education system through emphasis on using information technology in education and research system. USIM focuses on the mastering of Arabic and English language through its courses besides the national language.
USIM is the only public university where Islamisation of knowledge is addressed in all of its academic programs. The academic programmes at USIM are designed to produce graduates who are able to meet demands of various industries through deep knowledge and proficiency in Arabic and English as well as well-versed soft skills.
