The Accelerated Bachelor Masters Degree (ABMD) programme is the latest models offered by Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) under the UPM International Collaborative Programme (UPM-ICP). Qualified final year Bachelor degree students from university abroad are eligible to apply. It provides an opportunity to the students to complete an undergraduate and postgraduate degree in 5 years. The students will be given a specific study plan prepared by their academic advisor assigned by the faculty in UPM. During the first year of study in UPM, they will register coursework and research project (equivalent to final year project) which is required to complete their Bachelor degree. In the second year of study in UPM, they will continue the same research project (an extended version) as their research project for Masters.
Only final year Bachelor degree students from universities abroad are allowed to apply;
The student’s current study status must be in good standing with minimum CGPA of 3.00;
The candidates must meet the minimum English requirement set by the University by obtaining an IELTS score of at least 6.0 or equivalent;
The application is supported by the Home University To apply the programme, the students must:
Fill in the application forms and submit it correctly
Research proposal must be submitted along the application
A copy of Bachelor degree semesters’ results (transcript of all semesters)
A copy of passport/Personal Identification
Consent letter from the Home University
A copy of IELTS/TOEFL certificate Apply in June for September intake.
