This Programme trains Students to be knowledgeable and skilled in the filed of Counselling. Required courses are philosophy of guidance and Counselling, ethcis in the Helping Professions, Theories in Counselling and psychotherapy, Counselling in the organization, career development Theories, Abnormal Psychology, Counselling and group psychotherapy, prepracticum class, family therapy and Counselling or practicum / internship. The Programme is generic in nature and not Confined to any PARTICULAR theory and approach. Students will also learn case managment skills, client assessment, report writing, Counselling skills, procedures and Strategie in handling client's career, personal and social Matters.

This program it is a preparation for professional registration as required in Counsellor Counsellor Act of 1998 (ATC 580). Graduates of this program as required are Eligible for registration as registered Counsellors, and are Normally empoyed as Counsellors, guidance teachers, human resources personnel, managers, and mental helth personal.
