COURSE OVERVIEW

The objective of this programme is to produce graduates equipped with expertise in the theory and practice of construction technology. Students will be exposed to the knowledge and technical skills involved in the latest technology to develop abilities that will meet current market demands.

The programme is structured to be more practical-based rather than a conventional science theory-based programme. The course will be accredited by the Engineering Technology Accreditation Council (ETAC) /MOSTI & MQA in 2017.

Knowledge of construction engineering technology does not just involve technical aspects but includes  aspects of management and sustainable development with added elements of  green technology, taking into account the sustainability of future generations.

The course features a practical-based curriculum where students are exposed to practical training throughout the 4-year programme with weightage of 60% practical and 40% theory. Practicals will be conducted in the form of laboratory works, workshops and industrial training.

In addition, students are nurtured to become dynamic, creative and ethical by developing soft skills throughout the teaching and learning process. Students will be guided by qualified and experienced academicians who are experts and professional in their respective fields.

Upon completion of the programme, students will competent and ready to meet the growing needs of industries and the community.
