The Pre Russian Engineering Programme (Pre Russian) is a 14 month (12 months in Malaysia + 2 months in Russia) preparatory programme for students with academic excellence who wish to pursue their studies in Russia. Universiti Kuala Lumpur Malaysia Institute of Aviation Technology (UniKL MIAT) has been aptly chosen to be the centre for this preparatory programme as it stresses on the concept of teaching and learning.... the Russian way.Pre Russian Engineering Programme has been running for 5 years, started off with the first batch of 21 students in July 2005. They began their 1st year studies in Moscow Aviation Institute (MAI) in July 2006. 33 students enrolled as the second batch in July 2006 and are currently in their 3rd semester. Ten of these students will be furthering their studies in State Marine Technology University (SMTU), St. Petersburg, Russia in 2 faculties; Marine Engineering and Naval Architecture & Ocean Engineering.
Candidates must have an excellent level of SPM with at least Grade A2 in 8 subjects: such as Modern Mathematics, Additional Mathematics, Bahasa Malaysia , English, Physics, Chemistry, Biology etc.
