Along with advancements in environmental health technology, this course is offered to fulfill the needs for skilled and trained environmental technologist to assist in the operation, management and enforcement of environmental health. Environmental Health Science Technologist plays a major role as a member of an interdisciplinary healthcare team. They involve primarily in assisting environmental health officers to evaluate and control environmental hazards, maintaining a safe supply of food and drinking water, improving methods for treatment and disposal of waste and researching the environmental impact to overall human health. They also involve in assisting the enforcement of environmental health laws and regulations in order to maintain a safe and healthy environment to live in.
A pass in SPM with at least five (5) credits in the following subjects:
Bahasa Melayu,
Mathematics,
one Science or Technical;
two other subjects; and
at least a pass in English OR
Posses a Certificate from IKM/ILP or other certificates recognized by the Senate in relevant fields with CGPA of 2.0 and above; and at least a pass in Bahasa Melayu at SPM level.
