Electrical and Electronic Engineering is one of the fastest growing areas of new technology and is at the heart of a knowledge-based economy.To get some idea of the wide range of influence of electrical and electronic engineers, consider some of the technological advances we take for granted every day, such as electric power, telecommunications, medical technology and robotics. The engine that drives or controls almost all of these new technologies is the computer or electronics. Computers were originally designed by electrical and electronic engineers and remain their major tool today. But there is more to Electrical and Electronics Engineering than just computers; it is what they are used for that determines their real value to society.

Mathematics,
one Science or Technical;
two other subjects; and
And two (2) other subjects and at least a pass in English: ** Physics / Chemistry / Biology / Science / Additional Science / other technical subjects 2.) Posses a Certificate from IKM/ILP or other certificates recognized by the Senate in relevant fields with CGPA of 2.0 and above; and at least a pass in Bahasa Melayu at SPM level; OR 3.) Having the Malaysian Skills Certificate (SKM) Level 3 recognized by SDS, and
SPM / SPMV with at least one credit
Their studies to Diploma level in the same field
If necessary, the University of Cape Town should provide a bridging program as a program to help students who shift from sector to sector, academic skills.
