Taught in 7 semesters (3 1/2 years), this programme will cover not only on the avionic systems but also all the aspects of fixed wing aircraft, including airframe and engines. The syllabus encompasses fundamentals subjects such as mathematics, physics and aerodynamics etc, airframe systems, piston and turbine engines, the electrical and electronic systems aspect, which also includes basic electronics instrumentation, aircraft electrical systems and the maintenance of the aircraft electrical and instrument systems. Student will graduate with a Diploma in Aircraft Maintenance Technology (Avionics) upon completion of the programme. This comprehensive training will also prepare the graduates to be readily absorbed by the aviation industries such as airlines, maintenance and repair organization, aircraft vendors, and also avionics repair stations or workshops. The training provided by UniKL MIAT will enable graduates to be readily absorbed into the overgrowing aviation industry locally and world wide.
Bahasa Melayu,
Mathematics,
one Science or Technical;
two other subjects; and
at least a pass in English; OR 2.) Posses a Certificate from IKM/ILP or other certificates recognized by the Senate in relevant fields with CGPA of 2.0 and above; and at least a pass in Bahasa Melayu at SPM level.
