COURSE OVERVIEW

Biosystems engineering technology combines engineering principles with biology to solve problems. They seek enduring solutions to the most important challenges of our time.

They ensure that we have the necessities of life:



  • safe and plentiful food to eat


  • pure water to drink


  • healthy environmental resources




Biosystems Engineering students learn to integrate the physical properties and growth of plants, animals and micro-organisms and environmental interactions, into engineering applications, using data analysis, test equipment, and the engineering design process. They seek enduring solutions to the most important challenges of our time. They make sure the food you eat is safe by:



  • designing sterilization and pasteurization processes


  • developing rapid detection methods, such as biosensors




ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

Detailed entry requirements

 

Diploma with minimum CGPA of 2.0 in the relevant field from UniKL or from other recognized higher learning institutions; Or

 

Pass in Matriculation / Foundation Programme with a minimum CGPA of 2.0; Or

 

Pass in International Baccalaureate (IB) with a minimum of 24 points; Or

 

STPM or its equivalent with at least Grade C in 3 subjects or at least ; Or

 

STPM or its equivalent with at least Grade C in 2 subjects and Grade D in two others subject including General Paper.
