Human life depends on natural resources, including other organisms, and man's ability to pursue and develop civilized society depends on the use and sustainable management of these resources wisely. Biological Sciences provides information about the structure and function of living things, mutual interactions between organisms, and between organisms and their environment. As a vicegerent on earth, human beings need to know and understand the biology, so attentive and knowledgeable in the use, management and conservation of biological resources for future generations. Teaching and research at the Faculty of Biology covers the taxonomy, anatomy, morphology, ecology, biodiversity, plant and animal genetics, in terrestrial and aquatic ecosystems. Exposure to all aspects of basic and applied research aimed at achieving a balance between socio-economic development and biodiversity conservation and the environment.
