The purpose of study Master of Education (Early Childhood Education) is to provide knowledge and skills to the graduates of general education and specialization in early childhood education. The programme is designed to meet the demand for graduates who are proficient in the early childhood education and process communication skills to serve the country’s various industries. As early childhood education is central to the nation’s future development, graduates are trained to continuously collaborate, demonstrate knowledge, skills, critical and reflective thinking of their work in line with the Malaysian education policies and practices. They are also provided with facilities to give them the advantage in terms of the usage of information technology and exposure to real working environment and conditions. Students will be exposed to be a multi-disciplinary approach, which crosses multicultural boundaries to be well-adjusted early childhood education practitioners.
You must meet the following requirements in order to be considered for entry to the UNITAR Master's Programme: A Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education or its equivalent with a minimum CGPA of 2.50 OR A Bachelor’s Degree in a related field or its equivalent, with a minimum CGPA of 2.50, as accepted by the Senate AND 3 years working experience in the field of Early Childhood Education OR A Bachelor's Degree or its equivalent, with a minimum CGPA of 2.50, as accepted by the Senate AND a Diploma in Early Childhood Education with 4 years working experience in the field of Early Childhood Education OR A Bachelor's Degree or its equivalent not meeting CGPA of 2.50, as accepted by the Senate, AND to a minimum of 5 years working experience in the field of Early Childhood Education AND rigorous internal assessment OR Through ‘Open Entry’ where candidates have to fulfill these requirements: Pass in STPM / Matriculation / Diploma or its equivalent AND Aged at least 35 years old on 1 January in the year of application AND At least 5 years working experience in the related field.
ADDITIONAL TERMS
Pass TOEFL with a minimum score of 600 point or 6.0 in IELTS for international students.
