computing is changing our world, the way we work, the way we live. To study computer science is to put ourselves at the forefront not just of technological change but of social change as well. This course examines the principles and technologies underpinning the systems that are driving this change. It provides an opportunity to learn about these directly through a combination of work-based learning and in the classroom.The field of computer science offers a wealth of opportunity across a range of specialist fields. The variety of course options on offer means that you can fine-tune your degree to focus on particular areas of interest or to meet the requirements of a favoured career.
You must meet the following requirements in order to be considered for entry to the UNITAR Bachelor's Programme: Pass STPM with a minimum Grade C (NGMP 2.00) in two (2) subjects and credit in Mathematics in SPM or its equivalent; OR Pass Diploma in Computer Science or Software Engineering or Information Technology or Information System or its equivalent, with a minimum CGPA of 2.50 and credit in Mathematics in SPM or its equivalent; OR Pass Matriculation/Foundation/Pre University or its equivalent, with a minimum CGPA of 2.00 AND credit in Mathematics in SPM; OR Candidates with a Diploma in Science and Technology or Business Studies with a minimum CGPA of 2.50 and credit in Mathematics in SPM or its equivalent, can be registered subject to a rigorous internal assessment; OR Pass BTEC Level 4 & 5 and pass in SPM or its equivalent, with at least three (3) credits in any subjects including Mathematics.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Candidates with a CGPA less than 2.50 but exceeding 2.00 and obtained credit in Mathematics in SPM or its equivalent, can be registered subject to a rigorous internal assessment; OR Candidates with a credit in computing subjects in SPM and STPM or its equivalent, will have an advantage.
