<p>The International Foundation Programme (IFP) provides a pathway to a prestigious University of Reading degree at either our UK or Malaysia Campus.&nbsp;This 12-month intensive programme is specifically designed for SPM, IGCSE and equivalent qualification holders who would like to fast-track their university studies.</p>
<p>All of the International Foundation Programme modules are designed and taught by university lecturers and are therefore tailored with your future degree in mind. Students who wish to progress onto one of our highly regarded undergraduate programmes will be taught &lsquo;Academic Skills&rsquo; and three modules relating to their chosen degree programme, chosen from:</p>

<li>Maths for Finance, Economics and Business</li>
<li>Psychology</li>
<li>Law</li>
<li>International English (if required)</li>
</ul>
<p>Students will need to study the International English module if their English level is below:</p>

<li>IELTS 6.5 (no component below 5.5)</li>
<li>C in IGCSE English as first language</li>
<li>B in IGCSE English as a Second Language</li>

A foundation /Pre University program is usually taken before taking entry into universities and colleges soon after completing school. All the school –leavers can enroll in a Foundation /Pre University Program to get a fair understanding of the university education as well as make themselves ready to face the actual challenge associated with the university education.

All the school –leavers can enroll in a Foundation /Pre University Program to get a fair understanding of the university education as well as make themselves ready to face the actual challenge associated with the university education. </p><h6 class="common-heading"><b>Name of Course:</b> PUC/ Foundation</h6><h6 class="common-heading"><b>Duration of Course:</b> 1 year</h6><h6 class="common-heading"><b>Eligibility:</b> Matriculation/ Class 10</h6><h3 class="common-heading">Basics or Overview</h3><p class="common-text">If you are preparing to enter into a university, then taking up a short Pre Degree or Pre University Course could be the best option for you. A Pre Degree Course or PUC is the first choice of all those candidates who are looking out to enter into a degree course after school education.  The PUC degrees are specially very useful for all those candidates who are opting for a 10 year school and move on to the degree courses after their 2 years of PUC completed from any junior college.</p><h3 class="common-heading">Opportunities for Career Growth after PUC</h3><p class="common-text">Those who successfully apply for the PUC after their 10 years of schooling are ready to apply for several streams of degree courses through the government organized common entrance test. The students can enroll themselves in a variety of programs through a Pre University Course such as –Bahelor of Commerce or Bachelor of Business Management, if they belong to Commerce stream; Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Social Sciences, if they belong to an Arts stream; Bachelor of Nursing or Bachelor of Pharmacy; If they belong to Science stream, then Bachelor of Science and in case of Mathematics/ Science Stream, it will be Bachelor of Engineering or Bachelor of Agriculture or Medicine respectively.</p><h3 class="common-heading">What to choose?</h3><p class="common-text">Students can get a number of colleges in Malaysia offering a Pre University Degree Course or Pre Degree Courses. However, it becomes necessary for all the prospective students to make a right choice in their search for a suitable college. For instance, FTMS College offers Foundation Course or Pre University Course of one year duration in Business Information Technology. The foundation or Pre University Courses are offered by both government funded institutions as well as private colleges. The students who are planning to give at least one year to their Pre Degree Courses should take up the Foundation Courses. On the other hand, a bridging course will be just a semester for you to complete. Some of the international universities offer direct entry based Foundation Programs that can give a direct entry to the students under the second year of the undergraduate or post graduate programs that they wish to enroll themselves into. </p></div>
