<p>Industries that need electrical engineers span various engineering fields including the electrical power and supply industries, renewable energy industries, oil and gas industries, manufacturing industries, maintenance industries and marine engineering works industries. Hence, UCTS Bachelor of Electrical Engineering (Hons) programme is specifically designed and offered to meet the huge demand of innovative and technically competent electrical engineers by Sarawak Corridor of Renewal Energy (SCORE) and rapid growth of industrial development in Malaysia. This programme aims to equip students with various fundamental knowledge and skills in both electrical and electronics engineering and prepare the students to be specialised in electrical power engineering for their career development within this discipline. Technical elective subjects are offered in the 3rd and final years to provide various specialisation in electrical engineering.</p>

<ul><li>Pass STPM/A-level with full pass in Mathematics and Physical Science; or</li><li>Pass UEC with five (5) Grade B&rsquo;s including Mathematics and Physical Science; or</li><li>Pass Matriculation / Pre-U/ Foundation in Science from recognised institutions with minimum CGPA 2.00; or</li><li>Pass Diploma in related field from recognised institutions with minimum CGPA 2.00; or</li><li>Pass a DKM / DLKM / DVM with a minimum CGPA of 2.50; or</li><li>Pass DKM / DLKM / DVM with at least a CGPA of 2.00 with at least two (2) years of work experience in related field; or&nbsp;</li><li>Other equivalent qualifications recognised by the Malaysian Government and approved by University Senate.</li><li>The candidate is not colour blind as not to hinder from doing practical work.&nbsp;</li></ul>

<h3 class="common-heading">Eligibility Requirements</h3>

<p class="common-text">Applicants should have passed intermediate or PUC from Mathematics, Physics &amp; Chemistry from any recognized board of Malaysia to get enrolled under the bachelor level of courses in engineering such as, Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) and Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.). The eligibility for enrolling under master level programs of engineering is BE/ B.Tech passed from any recognized colleges or universities in Malaysia.</p>

<p class="common-text">The students can start their career in engineering by successfully enrolling themselves under the bachelor level of courses (B.E./B.Tech.) available under different colleges or universities. This will be a four year course comprising of all the major subject of study in the engineering field as per the stream chosen by the students.
