<p>The programme has been designed to accommodate the ever increasing demand and a shortage of process safety professionals in Malaysia and also in Asia Pacific region. The recent statistics in this region show a tremendous development of Major Hazard Installations indicating the requirement for more industrial practitioners who could manage process safety hazards. The main objective of this programme is to deepen understanding and equip the students with advanced skills and expertise in process safety, loss prevention and risk assessment. Therefore, by working closely with a well-known process safety institution, Mary Kay O&rsquo;Connor Process Safety Center (MKOPSC), we have jointly developed a distinguished and leading MSc Process Safety programme in this region.</p>

<p><strong>Entry Requirements</strong></p><div><ul><li>Bachelor&rsquo;s Degree in Engineering / Engineering Technology from a recognized university with a minimum CGPA of 2.50 or its equivalent; OR</li><li>Bachelor&rsquo;s Degree in Engineering/Engineering Technology discipline with a minimum CGPA of 2.00 - 2.49 or its equivalent will require 5 years of working experience and internal rigorous assessment; OR</li><li>Bachelor&rsquo;s Degree from different discipline, must undergo pre-requisite courses in Engineering or Engineering Technology.</li></ul></div><p><strong>Apel.A field:</strong></p><div><div><p>Apply with working experience. Candidate who satisfies APEL A requirements are eligible to enrol.​</p></div><strong>English Requirements</strong><p>For international students, a TOEFL score of 500 OR an IELTS score of 5.0 OR its equivalent. If a student does not meet this requirement, HEPs must offer English proficiency courses to ensure that the student&rsquo;s proficiency is sufficient to meet the needs of the programme. This is normally conducted through an assessment process.</p><p><strong>Pre-requisite coursess</strong></p><div>Bachelor&rsquo;s Degree from non-engineering relevant will have to take pre-requisite courses as below:</div><ul><li>Principles of Chemical Engineering</li><li>Process Safety and Loss Prevention</li></ul><div>It will be conducted 100% online, The minimum marks B (65).</div></div>

<h3 class="common-heading">Eligibility Requirements</h3>

<p class="common-text">Applicants should have passed intermediate or PUC from Mathematics, Physics &amp; Chemistry from any recognized board of Malaysia to get enrolled under the bachelor level of courses in engineering such as, Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) and Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.). The eligibility for enrolling under master level programs of engineering is BE/ B.Tech passed from any recognized colleges or universities in Malaysia.</p>
