The Mechanical Engineering programme is a contemporary, project-driven degree designed to produce graduates capable of addressing the Grand Challenges for Engineering and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UNSDGs). Throughout the programme, students will engage in at least four engineering systems or projects, following the Conceive-Design-Implement-Operate (CDIO) methodology. Two of these projects will focus on real-world industry challenges, ensuring practical relevance. These projects will tackle global engineering issues and contribute to achieving the UNSDGs. Additionally, students will gain hands-on experience with Industry 4.0 tools and software, including 3D printing, Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD), and the Finite Element Method (FEM), equipping them with the skills needed for modern engineering practices.
